MUXy Fleet captures and forwards CAN bus data without any electrical contact, as non intrusive way.
More than hundred of data which are transferred onto CAN bus are potentially available such as kilometres, fuel consumption, driver behaviours (speed, acceleration …), maintenance information (levels, alarms), etc…
MUXy Fleet range answers to numerous needs/muxy_Fleet.aspx for fleet management, driving behaviour, or accident management applications.
MUXy Fleet catches CAN network data using « contact less CAN» technology traded by our partner NSI.
Functionalities :
MUXy Fleet search reception of configured signals on each CAN channel (32 per channel). These gross signals are composed of information such as :
· Current value
· Instant filtered value (recursive filter)
· Min / Max value
· Time over high threshold
· Time under low threshold
· Time between 1 to 8 range
· Derivative
These data could be sent to a remote server by three different ways:
1. periodically : only one datum per signal could be downloaded periodically (in order to limit data stream onto RS232 link),
2. on demand : a command allows to read information on about each signal
3. on alarm : when a threshold is triggered on a preconfigured signal, then an alarm is transmitted through RS232 link ;
Additional data such as CAN communication loss or CAN signal range change, are downloaded as alarm message.
Data analysis :
Each vehicle gets its own CAN library. In order to be free from this constraint and to keep the data analysis operational by integrators and VAR’s, Nomadic Solutions provides with MUXy Fleet a shape tool to standardise the format of CAN bus frames from different vehicles types and models.
Update and configuration of the device are done through RS232 link thanks to a communication protocol similar to X8 unit’s one from Nomadic.
Idle mode could be set up thanks to a command through serial link and wake up mode by an external output.
MUXy Fleet contact less is designed in three different models:
- MUXy Fleet RS :
RS232 connection with existing AVL units;
- MUXy Fleet GSM :
GSM transmission of collected CANbus data
- MUXy Fleet USB
Data are stored then released thanks to USB key
